Solano Marcel Iron & Curling Iron

I designed and developed a curling iron and marcel iron for Goody's Solano brand. Solano is a professional brand for hair stylists and barbers. The curling iron and marcel iron were developed to meet higher quality standards and higher temperature requirements for the professional hair stylist. The Solano "shield" visual brand language was accentuated on for incorporating into the design around the digital display for both units. The Solano "Shield" enabled for a unique curling iron foot design to be created in order to lift the hot curling barrel away from the surface to protect from a potential burn. The use of tourmaline and ceramic materials within the barrel and heating elements that could achieve 450°F enabled silky smooth hair curl styles to be achieved consistently without frizz.
