I designed and engineered a 12 Volt battery powered ride-on vehicle based on a 50's Hot Rod theme. Originally designed to be a single child foot to floor ride-on. Tapping into the trend of nostalgia, the vehicle was to capture Baby Boomers' memories. When Step2 decided to enter into the battery powered vehicles category, I updated the sketch to be a side by side two passenger rotationally molded vehicle that had an opening door with running board exhausts. It possessed the ability to 2 different running speeds with reverse and a working horn that plays 50's "Do-Whop" music, and ignition key that when turned "started" the hot rod motor sounds and lit up the dash board.
